The University of Nebraska High School program was ranked the third best online high school in the country for 2016. The mission of UNHS is to assist students in developing “skills, attitudes, and knowledge that will enable them to be thoughtful, committed and successful people in whatever calling they choose." Students can pursue either a general studies or a college preparatory diploma track. Students at UNHS are able to transfer qualifying high school or home school credits, earn their diploma anytime of the year, and graduate early.

 All diploma programs offer open enrollment, experienced, and certified teachers. Our students are required a five-week minimum per course and assignments must be done in the order outlined and turned in one at a time. This allows instructors to give helpful feedback to assist in future lessons. Various course delivery formats, content levels, and instruction methods are made available as part of UNHS’s individualized study approach, which strives to meet the different learning styles of students.

   If you choose not to do University of Nebraska High School Online, a lot of states offer their own online program that you may want to enroll your son/daughter in.

One of the advantages of online schooling is that your student can go back to their public high school and graduate from there. We communicate with your student's academic advisor from their local high school and figure out an academic plan with their online program. So your student can study with us for 8 months and then go back to their local high school and graduate. Your student can also graduate from the online program too but this is just another option!
