Bonsignore gets Drafted

ONTARIO HOCKEY LEAGUE 237TH OVERALL (ROUND 12)

NEWINGTON, CT – June 7th, 2021: Connecticut Chiefs U18/U16 Midgets Head Coach and General Manager Mike Tenney proudly announced that forward Parker Bonsignore was drafted 237th overall (Round 12) by the Guelph Storm in the OHL draft this past weekend in Toronto.

Bonsignore, a 2005 birth year player on the Chiefs’ U16 (National) team, is a 5’7, 125-pound left-wing from Rochester, NY. In 28 games, Bonsignore registered 13 goals and 8 assists (21 points).

“Parker was one of our most improved and dedicated players last year,” Tenney stated. “We saw his talent when we recruited him to come to the Chiefs. We offered him everything he would need to build a successful future as we do all of our athletes. We gave Parker extra ice time, the Chiefs Academy to give him the optimal education experience, and lots of personal training time. Not to mention, we gave him plenty of one-on-one coaching sessions. To his credit, he took full advantage of everything we offered him and grew exponentially as a young athlete. Parker worked hard to become a well-rounded player at both ends of the ice, and his selection in the draft shows that hard work pays off. We’re thrilled for Parker and his family.”
